Please Help Fund New Street Trees for Richborne Terrace (SW8)

We’re collecting donations from residents to fund new street trees on Richborne Terrace.

It costs £480 to plant a new tree, with Lambeth covering the remaining cost through match-funding. We’re hoping to raise enough for two or three new trees to be planted this winter/spring.

About the tree funding

Lambeth Council has identified several locations on the street where new or replacement trees can be planted. They can proceed with the work if residents are able to cover a proportion of the planting cost:

a one-off £480 per tree from residents;
this represents 40% of the total cost, with Lambeth funding the remaining 60%;
costs include site preparation, the new tree itself, planting, and early maintenance (including watering);
once established, the trees become part of the normal street tree stock.

How contributions help

All funds will be held in the Residents' Association (FARA) account and are used only for planting on Richborne Terrace.

£10 – adds to the shared pot;
£20–£50 – covers a noticeable share of one tree;
£100+ – a significant step towards one tree;
£480 – funds one tree in full.

If there is any surplus, FARA will retain the investment for future tree and street planting for Richborne Terrace.
